Seattle Victim's Benefit Concert

This is the thread to deal with participation in the benefit concert IC event for next week. The event will be taking place on Saturday night next week. The IC location is the outdoor theatre at Marymoor Park in Redmond. This is an event with lots of media attention and a host of celebrities. However, an effort has also been made to highlight any local artists who wish to display their talents. This is meant to be a show of Seattle, for Seattle, and by Seattle.

My character has been plugging this for the last month, and if you have not heard any of my IC announcements in character, you can assume to have heard about it anyway. Any PC character who wishes to be highlighted for a performance, please post here. I will be doing something myself and I'd like to have more than one act as part of it.

If you as a player have a performing streak in you but maybe your current character doesn't, this is a fine chance to come and show off anyway. With the number of acts that will be there IC, you could easily be one of the local artists showcasing their talents.

I'm sorry for the late notice, but I hope this can be a cool event anyway. But it only will be if more than myself want to come and participate.

OOC: Is this meant to be an Elysium event, and if so we should chat IC about the location and OOC about where in the gaming space we will be doing these scenes. Let me know Jaron. - Chris

We had not made any effort to get the event declared an Elysium, though on second thought that is a fantastic idea. Expect an email for IC communication on that topic Chris.

I am sorry that personal issues have and will keep me away from game until the 4th. I really wanted to be involved in this.

Michael has been working on this IC. We did get permission from the IC holder of the domain to have it at Marymoor park. www.kingcounty.gov/recreation/parks/inventory/marymoor/concerts.aspx

Michael would be working to have it declared an Elysium event. (I thought I worked on this the first night we discussed it, but admittedly I have had other things on my mind and haven't followed up.)

After some IC conversation with the Keeper, he has flatly denied the request to make this an Elysium event, so unfortunately that is not happening. The event goes forward as planned though, and we will just have to trust that no one wants to crash it.

Due to an OOC mixup, the concert is not being held at Marymoor Park. It is being held at the Bothell Landing Park Amphitheater.

I just saw a thing that says "next Saturday" as of Tuesday, instead of "this Saturday". Hence confusion as to which Saturday was actually being spoken of.

Thank you all who helped with this event, both IC and OOC. This was really cool for me to be able to put something like this together as a character and I hope you who helped with it had some fun as well.
