It was one of his new offices, or what was soon to be one of his many, that Marcus Colson looked at documents strewn over the large desk. Maps of Seattle (a number of them showing all sorts of data), Financial documents (Many of Colson Corp properties, but there were others as well), and all manner of things. There was even a draft copy of the recruitment drive he was planning on having soon. One of Colson Corperations divisions really could use a new director, as it was growing. Looking to the next file, on some of their medical work to be done in the future.
"Mr. Colson? I have the final paper work for the Convention Center. I just need to get your signatures a few places. I also have the marketing material you asked for, with some of the usual conventions in the area." As the man set down all the documents, little post it notes pointing out where to sign. As Marcus started filling it all out, the man continued " We are working on getting some of the signs and billboards up that you asked. I also wanted to thank you for keeping me and most of the rest of the staff here on board. In these times... I don't know where I would have looked next."
Marcus nodded going through it all, "Of course, you know how to manage the facility and your people know how to keep it running. Why look for things when it was the building broken, not the people. I am just glad we could come in and manage the repairs for this and many of the buildings around it."
As he finished filling out the papers he gestured for the man to sit.
"I know there are some other corporate offices here. They will have to be given notice, that they will have to find another location. We can find them space somewhere if they need help, for a very minor fee, but Colson corporation will be using them starting some time in February. Also, the conference rooms on the top floor... We should move any reservations for them to other rooms. I would like them reserved for many of the bookings and events I do. That way there's no conflict if it comes up at the last moment."
Marcus was looking at the plans, pondering how the facility could best be used. He could see some of it building, being put to use. Much like he could see in other areas. He had been seeing the outline of what could be for months now. Just recently it was starting to come together. At the same time, however, friction was being added into this course of action. It was being harder then it otherwise could be.
At that, a side track in his mind opened up. He was pondering who else might be able to help him. Some of the people he had helped in the past had quickly vanished the moment there was even a hint of trouble, but that spoke a lot of them. Though in reflection of other recent colleague's perhaps it was just as dangerous for them to be to invested as not invested enough.
Pondering it a moment, Marcus noted his change of words. He had, or some times did, think in terms of friends, potential companions, comrades. Most of it was something he could only hope for when he was merely a mortal, that did not stand out much at all. He was an outcast then, he lacked confidence, he lacked faith, he lacked.... well Marcus of the days before lacked a lot. But now he was more. He was Ventrue, young yes, but still the blood of a King was in him, he felt it every time he ran a board meeting. But now that he had everything to allow him a normal... mortal life, he was beyond it as well. Mortal's had friends, companions...
Ventrue had Colleagues and Cousins... and competition. At least... that's what he was coming to find out, what with....
"Mr. Colson? Theres a few pages left to sign?"
As the man 'helped' get to the rest of the paper work, the momentary thought was filed away to review later.
