Right, so... that emissary bloke gave me a note ta post. He's pretty terrifyin', so I'll be postin' it.
Kindred of Seattle,
It has been brought to my attention that you, our friendly neighbors to the north, may not be as well versed in Anarch law as they may want to be, so I am providing this primer to you, the fine kindred of Seattle, so you may better understand our ways.
Like the Camarilla, us Anarchs have designated positions and responsibilities. You have your prince, your seneschal, your sheriff, masquer, scourge, etc. In the Tacoma barony, we have four positions, and if you'd like to make visits to our domain, it's in your best interest to know what each of them is responsible for.
Baron:
The baron is the manager of the domain's interior. It's his job to clean up the messes, hand out personal domain, and make sure the kine are both taken care of and left in the dark about our existence. It isn't his job to punish, to recognize reputations, to talk to outsiders or rule. He keeps the domain running via infrastructure and a quick mind. If you're part of the Tacoma domain, you're his problem.
Our baron is Ricky Smith ([Baron],[To Be Left The Fuck Alone],[Crazy Organized],[Reclusive]). He's an elected official, and he does a damn fine job at all the things I mentioned above.
Sweeper:
The sweeper is equal parts census and immigration. If you want to live in an Anarch domain, it’s your job to talk to the sweeper, let him know where you are living, where you plan to feed and what sort of shit you have following you. If he’s alright with the answers you give him, he lets you move in. If not, you change some of your answers or you get the hell out. If someone is leeching off our domain or breaks a major rule, the sweeper points the bouncer at them. If you move your haven or leave the domain without telling us, you gotta answer to this guy.
Our sweeper as of 1/15/2014 is Asim’Isam Jalal Ikram ([Sweeper],[Concise]). This guy’s new to the scene, but he has his ducks in a row and he does not mind keeping notes. Lots of notes. I like that about him. You want to move in, you talk to Asim. If he knocks on an Anarch's front door, it's best for them to answer.
Bouncer
The bouncer is easy to mistake for the Camarilla’s Scourge or Sheriff, but it’s the Baron’s job to find the messes and clean them up. Rather, the bouncer does exactly what his name might imply: politely (if at all possible) remove unwanted entities from our domain.
Our bouncer is Vandal ([Bouncer],[Bad-ass],[Vigilante]). When he shows up, people tend to leave under their own accord. If they don’t, he helps them leave. Easy enough.
Emissary
The emissary handles external affairs. You want to make a deal with a barony, you talk to this guy. You have a problem with the way someone in our domain acted in your domain? Talk to the emissary. You feel like the Camarilla isn’t your thing any more and want to join the good guys? You talk to the emissary. The emissary also makes sure that the reputations of his barony’s residents reach far and wide, whether those reputations are becoming or not.
I, Cervantes Escobar Rodriguez ([Emissary],[Arcane],[Terrifying],[Memorable]), am the emissary to the Tacoma domain. You have a problem with some asshole that feeds in your domain and he lives in Tacoma, you talk to me. I won’t take accountability for his actions, but I will make sure that the proper steps are made to ensure that such actions don’t occur again in the future. We Anarchs exist in a meritocracy, and actions speak far louder than words.
I hope this primer is helpful to all of you who have aspirations to interact with the wonderful barony of Tacoma. If you have any questions, please feel free to approach me personally.
