The opinions around the events this week are somewhat charged. Therefore, I shall endeavour to be equally condescending to all involved, with a few notable exceptions (three guesses anyone?)
The Domain is eagerly preparing for the event that Keeper McKenna has planned for next week. It seems that Tristan, with the assistance of her Host Alice Harte and Lily Carver (who is usually quite rational and driven it appears), have succeeded against the odds. The Keeper has informed me that the event is to be held at a famous landmark of Kindred society called “The Brujah Warehouse”, and says that the suggested dress code is (and I quote) “Elegance and Utility”. She bids attendees to dress with the intent to participate in the evening’s festivities, which will include live performances from clans Toreador, Gangrel, and Ventrue (I’m told that one is to be particularly spectacular; it seems that Morris Tobias has prepared something special for the occasion).
The very important meeting that the Prince instructed me to announce occurred on time with all present and accounted for, the sole exception being Sheriff Hephaestus, who I am told has a perfectly legitimate note from his mother (or rather, the Prince, who tells me he is on assignment). The meat of the information presented at the meeting was this:
1. Marcus Colson, the famously capable Childe of the Emerald Domain’s former Prince Hans Madsen, is not, in fact, dead at the hands of killers unknown but highly suspected. He is well (or at least walking and talking) and returned to the Domain, though we are told he is leaving soon if he hasn’t already. Apparently, an influential member of Clan Ventrue abroad asked the Assamite Justicar Tygerious to retrieve Colson and ensure that there were no demonic influences about the man. Colson tested clean, and the Assamites have returned him.
2. Furious at Tygerious’ second such intrusion into the affairs of Her Domain, Prince Bella informed Tygerious that if he wanted to make any other such moves without her express permission, he could seize praxis from her in the established way. Apparently Tygerious took the declaration well, though this humble harpy is uncertain whether the Assamite Justicar taking your defiance well is preferable or not, or whether it means anything at all.
3. Tygerious informed the Prince that all members of the Camarilla currently Acknowledged in Camarilla cities are protected by the Traditions, as far as Clan Assamite is concerned. This means that no matter where they are, all Acknowledged Kindred of the Emerald Domain can count on their murderers being hunted and destroyed by their own clan, assuming the killers were Assamites and assuming the Assamites admitted that the killers were Assamites. Not that I doubt the will or determination of Tygerious in seeing justice done, but I can only hope that he and the Prince have the same idea of what is just and who it should happen to.
4. Veritas, sending a very fine letter ahead of him from Muktar Bey himself, arrived in Seattle to present himself to Prince Bella Maurice for Acknowledgement, after hearing that his failure to do so would mean a Blood Hunt being called on him should he ever return. Veritas gave an Oath of Loyalty to the Prince, translated through Hamza, and took Blood Oath to Her as a demonstration of his sincerity. Oh, and in related news, Veritas is now the Sheriff’s Deputy, and I’m given to understand that Sheriff Hephaestus believes his new Deputy to be an exemplary addition to the strength of the Emerald Domain.
All this having been delivered, the meeting broke up when the Prince received a call from Keeper Tristan McKenna. Apparently, the matter involves Lily Carver and some bad blood, which gave her hallucinations of monsters and stranger things. The situation soon spiraled out of control, and in order to preserve the Masquerade, Tristan felt constrained to call the prince for help. In return for Her gracious assistance, they have each registered one Blood boon and two Major boons with me. In addition, for Magdelyna Praelik’s gross negligence in the circumstances (which I take to mean that while the Masquerade was crumbling to pieces around her, she stood like a beautiful but useless statue) the Prince has stated to me that she hardly finds Praelik to be devoted to upholding the Traditions of the Camarilla, let alone the welfare of the Emerald Domain.
As it happens, that is not where Maggie’s story ends for the night. A period of a mere ninety minutes saw her and the drug-addled Lily Carver in the Prince’s office in Elysium. Once they were left alone, Maggie comfortingly holding her incapacitated clanmate, she discovered that she was unable to control her base urges, and she let her hands wander. From there it was a short road indeed to the debauchery that the Seneschal inadvertently intruded upon only fifteen minutes after they had been left alone. For those of a delicate disposition, I had thought of discussing the sordid affair in prose, in the assumption that a pile of dung is more aesthetically pleasing if you top it with a tasteful doily, but have decided to be blunt instead.
Magdelena Praelik and Lily Carver quite literally fucked on the floor of the Prince’s office in Elysium. Two very respected Kindred in the Camarilla fornicated a mere door’s thickness away from the gathered members of the Domain at large. I find the fact that the Kindred involved had fallen so far that they lacked the dignity or patience to wait for a more appropriate time and place appalling. I would find the fact that Magdylana lacked the good judgment and self-control to refrain from such inappropriateness absurd, but I have, by now, learned that women of easy virtue such as Maggie always think first of their own desires and second, if at all, of the consequences of their actions.
At least Will Scarlet was not involved in this debacle. I find my faith in him somewhat restored, as he is the only Toreador in the Domain to remain completely aloof from the scandalous ordeal.
<<In this Report:
1. Veritas gains the status *Acknowledged* in the Emerald Domain.
2. Veritas becomes Sheriff’s Deputy and is loaned the status *Exemplary* by Hephaestus as Sheriff.
3. Magdelyna Praelik is stripped of *Devoted* by Bella Maurice as Prince for failing to act in the event of an ongoing Masquerade breach in Domain entrusted to her and the Toreador clan by Her Grace.
4. Lily Carver receives the negative status *Fallen* from Gayorg the Traveler as Harpy for fucking Magdelyna Praelik on the floor of the Prince’s office in Elysium.
5. Magdylana Praelik receives the negative status *Whore* from Gayorg the Traveler as Harpy for practically taking advantage of drug-addled Lily Carver for her own pleasure on the floor of the Prince’s office in Elysium.
6. Will Scarlet is relieved of the negative status *Impulsive* by Gayorg the Traveler as Harpy for managing to not be affected at all by the Toreador Mess.>>
