The Law of Leadership
忠義, 孝
Haqim teaches us that we must honor our elders. The eldest among us leads in Haqim's stead. As Haqim's word is absolute, so to is this law.
It is easy to change or misinterpret the word elder to completely change the meaning of his laws. We must look to not reinvent the word of Haqim to suit our own needs.
To some, elder means "older in years". To others, elder means "more potent the blood" or "closest to Haqim". To others still, elder means "higher position in ones sect". As we take into consideration the time of the first city in which Haqim set forth these holy decrees, we see that blood potency was not an issue as everyone was not far removed and neither was sect, as sects were created in the fifteenth century, thousands of years past the first city...
