Werewolves, listen up.
I'd like to get together a really big response to the haunted house effort.
We do this thing every year so we have a place to play, but it is also a chance do do something good for the kids.
That's all the preaching to the choir I'm going to do, but I am going to say that we really do need everyone to dig a little deeper, be it for money, or your time.
I donated $50 today before I knew there was going to be a mandatory payment.
I don't like the necessity of making people pay. I want us to be open to everyone.
So many of our players started or are still in a place where $5 isn't a throwaway expense. I was one of them. And this community has helped me through a lot on the way to where I am now.
The only way to keep it that way is for those of us with the means to step up.
I don't want to see anyone miss game because of this, but I know that many are too proud to ask.
I'd like anyone who can add to my donation to do it, and let me know so we can keep track.
I would like to be able to have Werewolf paid up with a cushion, so we can tell our players our game is still free to attend, with the standard suggested weekly donation.
If we can't get there, I still want everyone to come to game, even if you don't have the $5. I can cover some of you (or already have, though I'd prefer my donation from this morning to stand on its own and raise more money) and I'm sure others will give more than the minimum as well.
This is a great group, and I know we can put on an amazing haunted house, while still running a game we can all attend.
