2:26am, April 30, 2005
Danielle paced in the darkness of the alley. If this guy didn’t show up soon, she’d leave. A bit of a high wasn’t worth waiting this long in a creepy alleyway. Maybe the freak she’d talked to Thursday night at that bar hadn’t known what he was talking about. She sighed and slipped her mace back into her coat pocket and turned to leave only to come face to face with a blonde woman, her face haloed by the street light at the edge of the alleyway.
Dani suppressed a scream and started to push past the woman at the same moment as she surged forward. Danielle’s world blurred with pleasure, then faded painfully to black.
1:30pm May 7, 2005
Danielle smiled and flirted with an inebriated man three tables back from the stage as she sang. He, and the small audience, ate it up as she finished her last set of the evening. She stepped down from the small stage and took a seat next to him. “Couldn’t help but notice you were all alone here.”
The man grinned up from his half empty drink. “Not anymore, I guess.” He ordered Danielle a drink, which she sipped at half-heartedly. His dimmed senses were too wrapped up in her to notice that fact. “You have an amazing voice.” He managed to slur.
Danielle laughed softly, “Why don’t you take me to your place, and you can hear it a bit more?” She smiled and put her hand on his knee. “But, keep in mind…” She leaned forward and whispered into his ear, “I do bite.”
The man grinned like an idiot, downed his drink and led her to his car in the lot. He opened the passenger door for her, and she got in daintily. He drove haphazardly to a run-down apartment and led her up to his dingy studio.
Less than half an hour later, Danielle stumbled out of the apartment, straightening up her shirt. She licked a touch of blood from her lips and sighed. She didn’t know where this new hunger came from this last week, but who was she to resist it? Especially when her… partners… enjoyed it as much as she did.
