Living in the House of Dreams (or a sitcom)

So a good portion of us live in one house.

We don't have time to roleplay the amount of time that we our characters actually spend together, so I thought it might be neat to do a little side project.

So here it is: Describe your basic routine on a day to day basis.

Jason for example:
~Jason is very laid back, but he really enjoys building things for the house. So as a result a good portion of the tables, desks, and wood furniture, are in varying states of finished product, but all functional.

~Jason (more so than Phil) is a vegan, which means that he dislike animal products of any sort. He doesn't go all PETA on anyone, but he will ignore the item. Plus he cooks for himself, unless people want to eat with him, then he cooks extra for them. He will under no circumstance allow animal products into his food.

~He makes it very clear that his door is always open to anyone in the Chantry who wants to talk and discuss concerns. He actively tries to make it so that anyone can be comfortable talking to him. (one of the reasons he only has love sacs for furniture save for his bed and a desk chair)

~He never, ever brings women home. Unless for Chantry business.

~If anyone wants to use his jacuzzi they just have to ask.

~If can manage it, he gets everyone to have dinner together.


I thought it would be neat to see how characters would interact on a day to day basis.

I concur that this is a neat idea.

Mickey-

-spends most of her time at the chantry in her room, with the door shut. Sometimes she'll read in the living room or in the yard, but she spends a lot of time holed up on her own.

-She's generally preoccupied enough with whatever she's doing (usually reading textbooks or metaphysics manuals) that she keeps odd sleeping/waking hours, and seems to easily forget when she last ate. She does, however, eat just about anything when she actually remembers to (or is reminded.)

-Mickey's usually gone a few times a week during the day or evening for a few hours at a time, and hasn't (up to this point) mentioned what she's doing during her absences.

-If people strike up a conversation or initiate social interactions (talk to her when she's in a common area, knock on her door) she's generally genial and conversational, unless she's recently woken up, on her way to sleep, or in the middle of something. Generally, if it's one of the three, she'll politely beg off.

-Mickey has a fair amount of nervous energy, and tends to focus it when she's not studying on chores, or calming it by meditation in the yard.

-Mickey will never, for any reason, go into any space that isn't lit. She carries a flashlight that's on to and from her car after the sun goes down, and has scattered plug in nightlights into every free plug she's been allowed to in common areas. If anyone walks past her door and looks at the bottom of it, there's -always- light showing, day or night.

OK. Here is my bit.

-Kelly is definitely an omnivore, and while he will eat with other people in the house (such as Jason), he will most likely supplement his meals with anything he feels the proposed meal is lacking for his athlete type dietary needs.

-If Kelly is not at work, which is generally the really late night/abnoxiously early morning radio dj gig, he can be found in one of three places (four if you count the many times a day he stops by the kitchen for tea and meals): The study, sitting at his desk reading a book, rummaging through arcane texts his mentor keeps sending him, or just drinking tea and daydreaming; His room, with the door cracked open just in case someone wants to talk to him; The basement, either in the common areas or locked up in his private ritual room with a do not disturb sign out front.

-He likes to have a short chat with everyone in the house at least once everyday to make sure that everyone is comfortable and that there are no matters that are bothering them greatly. Not pushy, just concerned about the people under his roof.

-The biggest projects you will catch him doing in the house are decorating with an assortment of abstract, ethereal artwork (he seems to like his surroundings to match the lifestyles of those who live there), and writing down reference books on the occult and other magical stuff (the latter if not straight from his sphere knowledge, which only another hermetic would understand fully, it is his theories garnered from his occult affinity).

-Even with his rather...well, shocking is the onlly word that fits...appearance and touch he refuses to wear his sunglasses in the house and wears t-shirts all the time. He still accidentally shocks people from time to time and you may see him grimmace if he touches something metal unexpectedly.

-Oh yhea....he has also started sheathing all the door knobs with plastic.
