MageST Stepping Down

I'm officially announcing my one-month step-down from Mage ST.

People who are applying for Mage Storyteller are invited to post in this thread and email the storytellers to state why you feel you would be a good fit for the position.

The vote for new storyteller will be held the first Saturday of October.

I've had a lot of fun running Mage over the last year and some change, but it's time for a change.

Hello everybody, this is my official application to join the staff once more, as Mage Storyteller this time. This is something that I have been interested in for a long time, and now I have the chance to throw my hat in. BRoney has been a great storyteller for us, and it may be a challenge to pick up from where he leaves off, but I have confidence that I can make it exciting for all.

I have several games underneath my belt, including the Changeling game at EC for a year awhile back. Mage is my favorite sphere in the WoD and I've been playing, studying, and storytelling it for several years now. Although my grasp on the rules isn't airtight I have been/will be delving deeper into the system and have typed up a set of rules pulled from the main book for a quick reference to have at game for easy access.

I've got a lot of plot ideas and other cool stuff running through my head and have Phil helping flesh out the details. Regarding that, Phil will be my assistant, idea bouncy, paperwork guy and I think he is turning in his own little blurb for you guys to consider in that role. He and I have done quite a bit of conversating on what we would like to see and do, even devising a survey for the players to see what they would like out of thier game (written by Phil, I just loked at it and was all thumbs up and told him my opinions on it).

Anyway, not real sure what to write. If you want references I could dish some up for you, it isn't that hard ;P. Any other questions? Drop me a line.

I have placed my application for Head Storyteller with the other storytellers of Emerald Chronicles, and I would like to share with you some of what I wrote to them for my qualifications and hopes if I were elected.

My qualifications are as follows:
~I've worked as a Secretary for two different LARPS, one being Emerald City Chronicles.
~I've played White-Wolf games since I was twelve, Mage being my most favorite of them all.
~I'm organized
~I'm experienced with the Grapevine database system for tracking and running large LARP games
~I'm dedicated to keeping the games that my friends and fellow LARPers enjoy here at Emerald Chronicles
fun and interesting, as well as organized and capable of being cleanly handed off to the next
generation of Storytellers and players.

My hopes for this game include:
~Creating a fun and productive atmosphere for players to enjoy
~Building plotlines and stories that everyone can remember
~Setting some base house rules for keeping the game organized and unique

It's been pointed out to me that Mage tends to have many players that arrive late, and so having a vote at the beginning of the first week of October wouldn't work very well. And having the vote at the end of that week would require me to run a game that I'm not prepared to run (Since I pretty much wrapped up all my plot this week). So we are moving the vote to the end (~9 PM) of the next coming game - September 30th. If you are unable to come to this game, please send me an email, IM, or PM to tell me who you'd like to vote for.

Phil and Justin are the two candidates, and both have said that they are going to pick the other as an AST if they are chosen.

Due to the fact that Phil's been on my staff and I don't have many plots left over, I may not stay on for the full month as AST- I'll just be staying on as long as necessary, which may just be a week or two.
