Oh, court was rather routine for the most part. Honestly, I don't know what you could have had to do that is more important than attending the Imperator's court, but that's your business.
There were a series of the usual introductions. A couple of unknown Brujah. Although you might remember Jack from the guitar contest. He embarassed himself by being beaten by a ghoul. The Gangrel had a couple of new Camarilla aligned arrivals. This Jasper fellow is actually fairly well known. Mary "Texas" Guinan has been released, and is now qualified to all the rights and responsibilities of any kindred. A pair of fairly well known Malkavians, William Andredi and Tony Rusoe, were acknowledged. The Nosferatu had another unknown kindred with strange name. The Toreador introduced someone who actually sounds like she might be able to put on a show. That would be nice.
The Imperator officially Welcomed John Lions to the domain, in recognition of blood shed for out home.
There was an announcement that Nemesis was to remain a free man and not become property of the Tremere. This is interesting. I had thought that they had given up on caging their stony pets long ago.
A new Giovanni arrived in town. In fact, the Giovanni had much to do, between bringing the Prince tribute and hauling in a clanmate who had wronged the Ventrue. In the end, the decision was made that this creature would not be put to death, but instead serve the wronged clan, I believe Mr. Kantaris specifically, for a period of several months.
The highlight of the evening, of course, was the declaration of war. That's right! We're going to war. See what you miss when you're out all over town? Anyway, as I'm sure you've heard, Vancouver is under attack by Lupines. Worse yet, they have learned our tricks and are starting to influence the Kine. In a majority decision by the Senate, it was decided that we would support our brethren in combat. Those Senators who did not support war instead supported a fund raiser to support the efforts of the Kindred of Vancouver.
Of course, just because we're sending troops to help doesn't mean we can't raise money as well. The Prince announced that we would hold a celebration of Saturnalia... what? Oh come on, how young are you? It's Roman Christmas. Ok? Anyway, the Toreador will host an event on the 27th to raise funds to support Vancouver. I suggest you get your finances in order or start sharpening your sword if you want any recognition in the upcoming month.
