Huh. I've not gotten a lot of traction regarding tying discipline effects together, the classic being 'Awe' and "mesmerism'.
My disconnect here is as follows: There is no separation between 'mind control' and 'emotion control' as they in essence the same thing. Basic psych courses teach that cognition (thoughts/ideas) have emotional contexts that accompany them. One without the other just doesn't happen for the human mind and when it does it is considered a mal-adaptation.
Memories can be induced and created in people, in real life, from off hand comments made by others. In eye-witness testimony the very act of coaching the witness can actually mar the memory as the witness picks up on cues from the coaches and tailors their recollection to those pressures.
PTSD is a glitch in the emotional/congitive matrix in which a very awesome thing meant to protect us (Aversion to danger) is over loaded and becomes harmful. I got in a car wreck, had/have some mild PTSD over the incident. I can tell you that the emotional context is a very real proposition every time I hear safety glass pop or metal crunch. From a Dominate perspective, as I currently understand it, I can create the memory of a similar event, get a billion successes, but have no emotional context to go with it, more or less creating... Nothing.
My point: You are compartmentalizing too much. Discipline stacking, if allowed, is awesome, but Dominate, Presence, and Dementation are really hard to nail down systemically in a lot of ways. Dominate has an emotional effect; it has to by the sheer dint of behavior will lead to an emotional response; either in the self or reflected from others. More importantly you cannot systemize that effect. It would be chasing your own tail - You'd have to come up with clever ways to tell that effect through story.
Kludging a point or not, I have already been told that I can't Dominate someone into minimizing the impacts of their derangement, into remembering feeling a certain way, and have been shut down on the means of removing another player's awareness that they have been effected. This is not turning out to be great mind control; the body is not the mind. If all I can do is guide physical action with Dominate then jump to Conditioning which more or less is 're-write a dude' it seems like Dominate is, well, not dominating.
